Lucas first visit to Disneyland 12-16-13

We took Lucas to his first big outing, Disneyland. To be very honest we were scared on how everything was going to go--stroller, carrier, diaper bag, all those necessities that we as parents need when you have a two month old and you decide to take him to Dland. Overall it was a great experience, Lucas was so well behaved and he loved being outdoors. The noises, colors, rides, decor was all so entertaining to him. Daniel was carrying him most of the time in a baby carrier (first time trying it) and he loved it as well.

Here are the pictures of our mini adventure at Disneyland (as you can see most of the images are of Lucas because yes I'm that mom that takes tons of pics of her baby)

Two months check up

Vaccines..I have a love/hate relationship with them. I know its good because it will prevent tons of diseases and protect my baby but having to see him cry like that really broke my heart.

Before going to the appointment I google ways to help/sooth your baby when you take him to get his shots. I decided to stay calm and happy for him & it worked. He was very happy and playing with me prior to getting his shots. I told the nurse I wanted to breastfeed him that way it would take his mind of the pain. Mmm it worked for a bit! He cried this eyes out and of course so did I :'( After that he was fine, he continued eating and smiling like if nothing had happened. He did get very fuzzy once we got home so I gave him a warm bath, fed him and swaddled him.

But aside from the crying Lucas is doing great! The pediatrician told me he is healthy and big (as you can see in the pictures). He currently weighs 13.5 lbs, he's almost 24 inches long and has rolls for days. He is reacting to my voice and laughing & smiling a lot more. I'm just thankful to God that everything is good.

Happy two months!

Aww my little one turned two months! PLEASE MAKE TIME STOP! But as a new mom I enjoy seeing all the new milestones he has reached and I can't wait to witness the many more special moments that are yet to come.

  • Lucas has found his voice and his coo's are just adorable
  • He now wakes up smiling (melts my heart--what a wonderful way to start your morning)
  • His grasp is a lot stronger and he has found mammas hair and oh my he loves to pull it
  • He loves to push himself  up when he hold him
  • He giggles & laughs when he sleeps (I wonder what he's dreaming about)
  • I know this is not funny but I can't help but laugh when he fights while I breastfeed him (he has a love/hate relationship with my goods)
  • Loves to see his surroundings (he's extremely alert)
  • Rolls are finally coming out and I LOVE THEM! so yummy
  • Loves it when I give him tons of kisses
  • He loves naps
  • When he's sleeping and we pick him up he stills curls up & raises his bump (I truly love that)
  • He holds his head much better now
  • He has found his hands and fingers and loves to suck on them
  • I just love my little chubs
As far as his progress (weight, height) I will find out tomorrow at the doctor. Last time I took him he was 13 lbs of pure love!

Sweets-Bite size apple pies

I've never been the type that cooks fancy meals. However, now that I have a baby I decided I wanted to start getting more involved in the 'kitchen world' and what better way to start than with yummy sweets. I've always had a sweet tooth & as I was navigating on Pinterest I came across so many ideas/recipes for easy, fast and delicious sweets.

So I've made it my goal to try new recipes and have my family be the guinea pigs!

My first try was Bite Size Apple Pies and they were delicious. You can have them with ice cream, hot chocolate or a tall glass of milk! YUMMM!

Ingredients:

1 tube of crescent roll dough
1/2 cup of brown sugar
2 tbs. cinnamon
2 tbs of melted butter
1 tart apple (cut into 8 wedges)

Total time: 20-25 mins

Directions:

In a small bowl pour the brown sugar and cinnamon and unroll the crescent rolls. Brushed them with the melted butter. Sprinkled them with brown sugar and cinnamon.

Cut each sheet and wrap one strip around each apple wedge, placing sugared side of pastry against apple.

Place on baking sheet and bake for 15 mins or until pastry is golden brown and viola you got yourself some yummy bite size apple pies!

Enjoy :)

here!

& of course all of this was done while I rocked my little one <3
